Cute and Quick Christian Pregnancy Announcements
The easiest and quickest christian pregnancy announcements is a simple digital card.
Just buy the card online such as on Etsy, customize, download and print, and then cut and fold. Done within 5 minutes and looks thought through and professional. Even better if you print the card on cardstock!
If you don’t have a printer, getting it printed at your local London drugs, or photo shop will also give you a same day card that’s cute and quick!
Below are a few cards and card ideas to get you started! Just click on the link or on the picture to get to the downloadable card!
Hint: some are even customizable for free, which really adds that personal touch!
I announced my pregnancy to my husband in the simplest but memorable way. That morning, I was up before him when I took the test. I decided to write him a letter with how much I loved and admired him. I then put the test into a little box I had laying around and presented it all in honor of “international husband day”.
Trust me, most men do not know or care about international husband day, and most likely won’t catch on or suspect anything.
When he read the letter he was touched, but when he opened the box he was speechless. I have kept that letter and the test in that small box to this day.
Going with the letter idea, you could also write an “anonymous” letter and throw it in your mailbox. When you or your husband gets the mail you can open it together and find a card, letter, or pregnancy test inside.
4. Scavenger Hunt
May seem lame for some, but for those fun and explorative couples you can set up an outdoor or even indoor scavenger hunt with clues. Have your husband read the clues, find the next clue until the big surprise in the end. It can either be your test you had hidden somewhere, or the simple “bun in the oven”.
5. Bun in the Oven
If your husband is anything like mine, he loves his dinner.
When he comes home after greeting us, he always asks “what’s for dinner?” You could then tell him to go see for himself, you left dinner in the oven.
When he checks there will just be a random bun in the oven.
He will most likely be confused at first, but should soon get the memo of you being pregnant.
If you have more time before your husband comes home, or you are super good at keeping secrets, ordering a onesie or something baby like is also an option!
Now I could never keep a secret that long until something gets shipped out and arrives, but I have to admit the idea is super duper cute. Plus, maybe even preparing and buying something while you are still trying to conceive lets you have everything prepped and ready when that beautiful day of a positive test arrives!
7. Bible Reading
If you live in a christian household, bible reading is most likely a part of your daily routine. Offer to read some parts of the bible, and focus on sections where children and pregnancy are mentioned.
Some ideas would be to read out of:
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” -Matthew 19:14
"Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me." -Isaiah 49:15-16
"Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children." -Proverbs 17:6
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” -Jeremiah 1:5
"Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth." -Psalm 127:3-4
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created." -James 1:17-18
8. Prayer time
Everybodys prayers look different. In our household it’s common for everyone to proud out loud at the same time, or for one person to pray and others pray in silence or simply listen while bowing their heads.
You could offer to do tonight’s prayer. While praying, smoothly mention your thanks for the baby growing inside of you, and end your prayer in hugs and kisses and in thankfulness to the Lord.
9. Bible Surprise
A super easy way to incorporate a christian pregnancy announcement would be to use your pregnancy test as a bookmark in your or your husband’s bible. When you take out your bible in the morning to do your morning devotions, the pregnancy test will be the first thing they see.
Super simple, yet a cute and memorable moment, that’s all we want right?
